School Reviews
5 We are so glad we started our kids with the Academy of St. Bartholomew preschool. They have a certified preschool teacher and classroom aide and attend weekly gym, computers, and music classes and library. They work on sight words, social skills, and motor skills, learn science, math, religion, art, identifying letters, and writing. They use i-pads and have plenty of playtime. They also incorporate STEM activities in every day lessons. They offer 3yr old, 4yr old, and Pre-K classes. The preschool program is an amazing start for your kids! - Posted by Parent - Margaret |
5 I have 2 kids in this school and we love it! The teachers challenge students at each individual's level of learning. They are always coming up with new and exciting ways to teach the basic lessons. In 2018, teachers were awarded Excellence in STEM Education awards and incorporate STEM activities into all subjects. Each class has a home-bound parishioner pen pal that they correspond with. The older students visit a local nursing home. And the Make a Difference (MAD) community service club was founded at our school by a student and has now spread to multiple schools throughout the Cleveland area. Our school has a speech therapist, psychologist, and interventions specialist. Students that need extra can get help from a tutor. Students at a higher learning level are challenged. Teachers can also use the "Minds in Motion" room filled with desks with bike pedals or those students who need to keep moving.ASB students excel in all different subjects. In 2019, not only have students achieved state levels in the science fair and band, out of the whole Diocese of Cleveland, the student who scored the highest on the Catholic High School entrance exam is an ASB 8th grader! The Academy of St. Bartholomew helps each student achieve success. ASB is top notch! - Posted by Parent - Mom of 2 |
5 Great school! My children have had nothing but positive experiences here. Small class sizes make an optimum learning environment. We are also STEM awarded! - Posted by Parent - Kristy |
5 I strongly believe the Academy of St. Bartholomew provides an unparalleled education. The children are inspired to be creative problem solvers, innovators, and confident, compassionate leaders. I believe because of the outstanding teachers, the dedication from both the parish and staff, and the well balance approach in and out of the classroom it has ensured both academic success and personal development in the students. In the classroom, the curriculum is taught in a warm and caring environment. Arts, music, character development, and physical activity round out the St. Bart`s experience. Beyond the classroom, St. Bart`s encourages students to explore their individual passions through enrichment activities. They prepare and mentor students for admission to competitive high schools, and they achieve outstanding results. We believe St. Bart`s is the epitome of academic excellence and is truly a hidden treasure. - Posted by Parent - Posted by a Proud Parent |
5 We are a current family of St Barts and have been for almost 9 years now. Great school with supportive teachers who push your child to achieve their best. Small teacher to student ratio which I believe has been great for my children`s education. Clean and safe building which has been updated every year. Supportive and positive families involved in the school. Progressive technology and STEM certified. We have had a great experience here and I would definitely recommend to any new families! - Posted by Parent - TD |
5 This is the perfect school if you are looking for a faith based education from teachers who care and are committed to helping their students thrive well beyond their years at the school. My children have always loved it, and it gets better every year! The building is immaculately clean, and the children have access to excellent resources and technology. I can no say enough about what a great school this is! - Posted by Parent - Proud mom |
5 My student is having so much success in high school, and I know that this is because of attending the academy of St. Bartholomew. I could not have asked for a better place to have my children go to learn. All of the students were the number 1 priority of the teachers. The teachers really were an asset, and truly cared. Also, just walking around the campus it was evident that the attention to safety, cleanliness, and details mattered. I felt assured knowing that my children were in good hands while at St. Barts. - Posted by Parent - Class of 2016 |
