  • Bishop Lynch High School is a college preparatory school of the Diocese of Dallas (grades 9-12) founded by the Dominican Order in East Dallas.  Bishop Lynch High School opened in 1963 with 365 students and now has over 1,000 students. In keeping with the Dominican tradition, the school mascot is the Friar and the colors are black and white. It was designated a Blue Ribbon School by the Texas Department of Education in 1991 and 1998.

Bishop Lynch was the perfect fit for both of our daughters. They were challenged, supported, and guided through their high school years by an incredible team of caring and compassionate educators. They both made the transition to college beautifully because of the preparation BL provided. Superior academics, fine arts and extracurricular of activities to meet everyone's interests are just some of the many reasons to choose Lynch. The Dominican tradition and the opportunities to be involved in service projects, mission trips and participation in Mass help set this school apart from the rest.

I cannot say enough about this incredible school! I had two children go here and both are now in extraordinary colleges as a result of this school. Academically challenging yet nurturing... a big school; but feels like a tight-knit family... traditions that are amazing to be a part of. Too many great things to say. This school is one of the best private high schools in DFW!
