Fathers Harbor Academy Photo #3 - FHA students are very diverse. They come from all ethnic backgrounds, social economic groups, at-risk designations and varied ability levels. We accept students with IEP's, 504's, as well as regular and gifted students. Many families with foster or adopted children bring their students to FHA's student-centered environment because the school understands that these students may have missed essential milestones.

I researched all of the schools in Jacksonville, and none of them were up to the standards I was looking for when compared to the school my daughter was enrolled in before moving here. The staff at this school make it more like a family environment. The curriculum is challenging, which was important for us, given that my daughter came from a school that also taught the Abeka curriculum. I love that they still teach phonics, cursive, spelling/grammar, and other things that have been omitted from most schools. Most importantly, they are a faith-based school, so their teachings and customs are perfectly aligned with our faith.

FHA has been a life raft for my kids. When I drop them off in the morning, I know that they are cared for and safe. The staff love each child like their own. The staff caters the curriculum to each student's needs and abilities. They promote the students' creativity and critical thinking. No student falls behind. All the children are taught with respect and NEVER treated differently based on their abilities. If you are tired of overcrowding, bullying, or your child's needs being ignored because of any disability, I strongly suggest you come check FHA out.

Fathers Harbor is not like a regular public school; here they care, love and treat their students like their own kids. I've gone to FHA since 6th grade. I am currently a senior, and FHA has helped me for many years to become a better person. They have helped me believe in myself and achieve greatness, and they have been there for me every step of the way. It's a great school and an even better environment.
