Monsignor Bonner High School, founded in 1953, is a Catholic community committed to the liberal education of our young men in the spirit of St.
Augustine. The curriculum provides a careful balance for its 900 students between religious education, academic pursuits, and athletic and social opportunities.
Bonner strives to educate young men in the Catholic and Augustinian tradition, with emphasis on their spiritual, intellectual, athletic and social development.
Monsignor Bonner High School asserts that the ability to think critically is essential to the student's goal of life-long learning.
Our teaching, therefore, is directed not only to the body of knowledge to be imparted in each discipline, but also to the principle that learning how to learn is a primary goal of education.
Teachers help students to develop the ability to perceive coherent relationships among concepts and make judgments based on those relationships.
To this end, students are given a variety of activities from hands-on experience to in-depth research.
By working with diverse materials, students are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills that will serve them not only in high school, but also in any area of life they wish to pursue.
