Morning Star Catholic School

For over 60 years, Morning Star Catholic School has been a place of hope, growth, and belonging for children with cognitive disabilities.
We are the only special needs school within the Diocese of Orlando, fully accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference, and serve students in grades K12, ages 5-22 years old.
At Morning Star Catholic, we welcome students with a range of cognitive impairments and related challenges, including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism, ADD/ADHD, epilepsy, Tourette's Syndrome, and Down's Syndrome.
Every child's success looks different - and every success is celebrated.
Some students transition back to general education, while others remain with us through graduation, receiving individualized instruction and compassionate care every step of the way.

    When Bishop Moore and Morning Star Catholic school athletes combined their love of sports and respect for one another, they displayed a hallmark of the Catholic faith - all are ...moreone in the Body of Christ.Typically competing in separate events through the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and other Special Olympics programs respectively, this year the schools combined their talents to form one team competing in the 2024 Unified Sports track and field games. The inaugural team placed fifth out of 14 teams headed to the state championships May 15. hide
