School Reviews
5 My children have been a part of the NCS family for a few years and we have been more than pleased with the experience so far. Each of my kids have different challenges and talents which have made it difficult in the past for us to find an educational setting and social setting for them all to fit and succeed. We have found NCS as the best place for all of them. The staff and teachers have made more than an effort to understand how each of my kids learn and work with us to help them thrive. I have a child with learning difficulties who has graduated from NCS with coping skills and tools to succeed who is now experiencing great success in college. I have another child who's talents are completely different and is going through Honors classes where they are continually challenged. It has been a relief to find a community where my children are individuals and are encouraged to challenge themselves and have success and thrive. It is an environment where people care and support them academically and emotionally. I am grateful for the grace and support they give our family. - Posted by Parent - Leigh |
5 The prek is not up to standard. They also put you kid in a baby crib and put them in the pantry if they act like a baby. My daughter is in 4th grade we have implemented an iep because she was struggling in math which cost more money. This has not even been put in place it seems. I have not seen one inch of progress. I will not send my children here next year. - Posted by Parent - Wayne Barnes |
5 This is our daughter's first year at NCS. She has previously been in public schools. We chose NCS due to the proximity to our home and the knowledge we had from our nephews graduating from here. Our student is challenged and supported academically. She enjoys the small class sizes and enjoys getting to know the teachers. We are pleased with our move to NCS. - Posted by Parent - tonim |
5 Nashville Christian has given our children an opportunity to learn and grow not just in an academic setting, but spiritually, athletically, and through extra-curricular activities. Teachers at NCS have invested in our children's lives. We have only attended for two years and have experienced the teachers, staff and coaches to be supportive, encouraging, available, understanding and kind. I also love that NCS welcomes parental involvement on any level. I believe Nashville Christian will help prepare my kids for college and most importantly give them a foundation for helping and serving others. - Posted by Parent - robbi |
5 As a Nashville native, I'm familiar with the public and private schools in the area. Somehow, Nashville Christian School wasn't on my radar until my children's learning needs no longer fit the standard student profiles of area schools. My three children all have different strengths and challenges, and have been able to receive a custom educational experience at Nashville Christian School. My overachiever has been able to take Honors High School classes while in Middle School, and currently participates in both Dual Enrollment and AP classes as a Freshman on the Scholars track. My special needs learner receives the support he needs, while remaining challenged at his level. The supportive, caring teachers have given him the confidence and skills to succeed and encouraged him to advocate for himself when he needs help. His diverse group of friends and classmates accept him for who he is. Bullying is present in any school environment, public or private, but I am impressed with how swiftly and thoroughly NCS staff handles such issues. Exceptional Arts, Theatre, and after school clubs offer fun ways for non-athletes to build friendships and build confidence. I don't know how I never heard of NCS until three years ago, but I'm thrilled to have found this hidden treasure in the Nashville area. In my opinion, the public schools and high dollar private schools can't compete with NCS when it comes to the overall happiness and education of my children. I love the students, teachers, and staff at NCS. - Posted by Parent - ashle |
5 I am so thankful to have a place for both my children to have their needs met so well. One struggles due to a learning disability, while the other completely fits the box and is in the honors path. I love having them under one school and feel this school is beyond caring and concerned for the academic, emotional, and spiritual needs of my kiddos. I'm blown away by the individuality I see the staff provide for my kids and other friend's children that attend. After two years here, and having tried many options (including homeschooling, public, and private) we have found the perfect fit for us. Thank you NCS! - Posted by Parent - Mommy |
5 This is our first year at Nashville Christian. We moved from out of state and, as soon as we visited the school, we had no doubt that it was where we wanted to be. We were impressed with the curriculum and the focus on values and principles. But the thing that has stood out the most to us is the spirit. There is a joyfulness here that starts at the very top and pervades the entire place, all the way down to the kids and the parents. We have a kindergartner and a 4th grader and we''ll be here until our kindergartner graduates high school. - Posted by Parent - sheeh |
