Renaissance Learner Academy is a small, comprehensive high school that implements innovative academic and social learning models, applies brain research and learning theories in the classroom, and emphasizes exploratory educational experiences. We create a personal learning plan that takes into account students' current abilities, future plans, and personal strengths.
We assess academic, social and emotional ability throughout their learning that is adapted to how they best show what they know and can do.
For students with special gifts, we're able to accelerate and expand learning opportunities for advanced college prep, special projects and concurrent enrollment in community college at San Jose City College.

Our son has thrived at RLA, formerly MCP. Jay and his staff are amazing teachers. There is never a missed opportunity for tying a topic into students` learning, making this a truly holistic, comprehensive education. Our son commutes 45-60 minutes to and from school, and it`s worth it! Our son has been nurtured and mentored from someone who would barely leave his room, into a fine young adult, with strong ethics, diverse friends, and a willingness to work hard in pursuing excellence. We heartily recommend RLA.

Our son was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. He is thriving and learning at a phenomenal rate. They really are college preparatory. Had my son not attended MCP, he would mostly likely received a high school certificate not a diploma. He is learning skills to succeed in college and every day life. Thank you MCP.
