School Notes

A Project Approach to Learning
Rohan Woods School serving families with children age 2 though 6th grade
Small by mission -- Project Based Learning approach to education
Approximately one-third of the families receive tuition assistance
The school draws from 24 different zip codes in the St. Louis and Metro East areas.

At first glance, there are a lot of great schools in the St. Louis area. Some, almost regal by reputation; Others, unique in their own right, with each upholding its own philosophy of the `proper` way to teach and learn. As you begin your search for the perfect fit, the differences start to take shape, and your choice begins to narrow.

While you appreciate the achievements of the top-name schools, you believe there`s more to education than a merit badge. As you look at the other schools and parse differences in approach, you see that most are strong academically. But you believe there`s more to learning about life than cracking the books. And more than the aesthetics and location of the facility itself. So your choice narrows further.

Then you find a school that compromises nothing as it embraces the one aspect of education that no other school can or cares to pursue. A place where a sense of family is as important as a report card. Where children can find and explore the natural leader within each of them. And where a deeper kind of learning is the happy result.

We have one central theme as we open our doors each morning; children are the heart of our school and all that we do.
  • SAM TEMPLIN-PAGE -- HEAD OF SCHOOL
"It is a place where children feel comfortable and are encouraged to reach boldly for their dreams. Where every child`s independence is celebrated, not extinguished. Where people are proud in spirit, but humble in action. And your choice narrows to one - Rohan Woods."

Rohan Woods is an amazing school. Due to the pandemic, my children weren't introduced to the school environment, so when choosing a school my family was very selective. Rohan Woods checked all the boxes for us. The school has an amazing teacher-to-student ratio, it is a very inclusive environment (with 2 African American boys which was super important to us), it is a safe environment (physically, emotionally, and mentally, and the school makes each family feel welcomed. I truly love Rohan Woods and am super comfortable and confident in the school environment. My children have blossomed and learned so much.

We have been very happy with Rohan Woods. We went left for a brief period, because we lived in a great school district. However- nothing compares to RWS. So, we came back. My daughter has excelled academically as well as personally at this school. Staff and teachers go above and beyond. I always feel my daughter is safe and well cared for at the school. The other kids and families who attend Rohan Woods are all just genuinely nice people. I'm so glad that we came back! I'd recommend to any family, especially if your kids thrive best with 1:1 connections.

My daughter absolutely loves Rohan Woods, and have been enrolled for 4+ years. She is very comfortable, and views the school, her teachers, and friends just like family. As her father, I feel very connected to Rohan Woods, and have many opportunities to engage throughout the entire experience. Awesome!

Really a great school. Very satisfied with the progress we've seen in my child in PK. Had a much worse experience in a different school last year so we're ecstatic we found Rohan Woods.

We love Rohan Woods School!! The is one of the best kept secrets in St Louis private schools. The staff and children are warm and accepting. You immediately get the warm and fuzzies when you walk in the door. The education is top notch , class sizes are small, and there is an amazing sense of down-to-earth community. This is the real deal.

I love this school, and am so sad to be leaving the nest next year. Honestly I couldn't ask for a more nurturing environment. One of the things I love most about this school is how each teacher knows each child on a personal level, every morning when I walk into school I am greeted by each and every student or teacher I see. This school has been more than a second home. I know that I am more than prepared for secondary school next year. You should defiantly look at this school
