School Notes

  • For over 30 years, Smith Preparatory Academy has provided students with the highest quality Christian classical education, sought to cultivate Christian virtue, and promoted the recovery of Christian humanism.
  • Our vision is to establish a community of virtuous scholars who advance God's kingdom locally and throughout the world.
  • We are a fully accredited K3-12 private school with a comprehensive week-long program. Fridays are a half-day dedicated to Common Arts, field trips, and schoolwide events that enable students to embody their learning and celebrate God's creation.
  • We also offer a Cottage School with in-class instruction on Mondays and Wednesdays, combined with curricula provided for work at home the other days of the week.
  • The Common Arts half-day is open to students in both programs.
  • School Motto: Cultivating Christian Virtue
  • Our K3 and K4 program cultivates Christian virtue through appealing to children's natural curiosity and incorporating as many of their senses as possible in the learning process.
  • Smith Prep's K-6 Lower School focuses on the mastery of language arts and mathematical skills using classical Christian curricula, encouraging delight for God's truth, goodness, and beauty.
  • The 7th 12th grade Upper School uniquely engages students in classical primary texts, deep theological learning, informal and formal logic courses, the study of apologetics and worldview, rhetoric courses, and advanced Latin.
  • Senior Track with Dual Enrollment: Our collegiate senior track includes dual enrollment courses through Palm Beach Atlantic University hosted on sight by professors, as well as the opportunity to write, present, and defend a thesis to a panel of evaluators. The thesis is the culmination and exposition of their liberal arts training, since seniors justify their thesis' claim using the intellectual skills acquired through the entirety of their Christian classical education.
