I see students grow and flourish here in such a holistic way. Academically, they're challenged and supported to think critically and creatively. But what really stands out is how they develop confidence, empathy, and a strong sense of self. Over time, you really see them become well-rounded individuals who are not only prepared for the next step in their education, but also grounded, compassionate, and ready to lead lives of purpose.

As an employee of St. Michael's School with close to 15 years working in independent schools across the country, I can honestly say there is something truly special about this community. The emphasis on kindness and character is woven into everything we do-it's not just talked about, it's lived every day. That kind of intentional focus on developing well-rounded, compassionate students is rare to find in schools today.Academically, our curriculum is rigorous in a thoughtful and supportive way. Students are challenged to think critically and grow, while also being cared for as individuals. The results speak for themselves-our 8th grade graduates consistently go on to the very best high schools in Tucson, well-prepared for success. The lessons of respect, empathy, and character students learn here will stay with them for life. Truly, there is no price you can put on the kind of foundation St. Michael's provides.

As both a parent and someone who taught at St. Michael's for 13 years, I can say with confidence that this school is a remarkable place for children to grow. Now serving in administration, I continue to see every day how special our community is.St. Michael's strikes a rare balance: strong academics, vibrant arts and music, and robust athletics, all supported by small class sizes where teachers truly know their students. My own child has flourished here, not just in academics but in confidence and character. What sets St. Michael's apart is the Episcopal foundation that shapes everything we do: welcoming families of all faiths, honoring each child's dignity, encouraging curiosity, and fostering compassion through service. It is a community where students are challenged to be their best selves in mind, body, and spirit.I've watched graduates leave not only prepared for top high schools but also grounded, kind, and ready to make a difference. It's a joy and privilege to be part of this school.

As a parent of a current student at St. Michael's School, I could not be happier with the experience our family has had here. From the very first day, we felt welcomed into a community that truly lives its values of balance, excellence, integrity, and belonging. The academics are outstanding-rigorous yet nurturing. My child comes home not only excited about what they're learning but also confident in their ability to ask questions and think critically. Teachers here are not just educators, they are mentors who know each student personally and care deeply about their growth in mind, body, and spirit. That personal attention is something you simply don't find everywhere. One of the things that drew us to St. Michael's is its beautiful, historically significant campus. Designed by the renowned Tucson architect Josias Joesler and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the school grounds inspire a sense of tradition, stability, and timeless beauty. The campus is not only a joy to walk through every day, with its gardens, courtyards, and iconic architecture, but it also reinforces for students the importance of heritage, stewardship, and pride in their school.Beyond the classroom, the sense of community is remarkable. Families, faculty, and students come together to support one another in a way that makes St. Michael's feel like an extended family. The school also celebrates diversity and inclusion in ways that prepare children for the wider world. We've also been impressed with the leadership of the school. The head of school and staff are forward-thinking, prioritizing both safety and innovation, while still honoring the school's rich history and traditions. It's rare to find a school that is simultaneously rooted in legacy and committed to future growth, but St. Michael's does exactly that. Most importantly, my child is thriving-academically, socially, and emotionally. Every day they go to school with joy, curiosity, and confidence. As a parent, there is no greater gift than seeing your child love learning and feel a true sense of belonging.I wholeheartedly recommend St. Michael's School to any family seeking not only excellent academics but also a vibrant, caring community set on one of Tucson's most beautiful and historically significant campuses.

St Michael's is wonderful. From the staff, to the students, to the community, we couldn't ask for a better school. Our kids are receiving a fantastic education mixed with the opportunity to grow socially and emotionally in a loving and safe environment.

It comes down to this: everything St. Michael's does is outstanding. The academics allow for individualization and advancement without overwhelming students. The teachers are easily accessible and exude professionalism with warmth. The Episcopal teachings emphasize caring and kindness, making them applicable across religions. Families are friendly and supportive, and the kids get time to be kids. They get plenty of time and space to run and play and create. Every school event is well planned and engaging. Added bonus: the facilities are lovely. It is a peaceful and beautiful place to learn. We tried several other schools in Tucson before finding St. Michael's and regret that lost time. We wish we would have started here. We have had opportunities to take jobs elsewhere in the time since our kids moved to St. Michael's, and we declined those opportunities because we know we can't find another school like this one. When they finish 8th grade, our kids will be ready for advanced curriculum in high school and beyond. More than that, they will know how to care for others and how to speak and lead. We are grateful for this school and know you will be, too.

We have been at Michael's for four years now. We could not be happier with the way the school is run. Kids have a historic space to learn in and they have staff that truly care and love the kids. The kids are not only getting a wonderful education they are also learning the importance of being kind and having empathy for others and how to love themselves. Afterschool programs are incredible. They offer karate, Lego club, chess, and a little gymnastics class. The 5th-8th graders get an afterschool study hall program. The musicals are amazing and the religious teachings are beautiful life values. Sports are also available to the upper school students: volleyball, basketball, flag football, and track- I could be missing another sport. My kids love going to school every day. One last thing I would add, is the community of parents are so very loving and inclusive. If you want to get involved there are endless opportunities to do so. The parent groups help to make all our special events extra shiny. If you are a parent that doesn't have time to volunteer it is 100% ok, too. Come tour the school and see for yourself. I know you will fall in love.

St. Michael's School has been an incredible place for my stepson's growth and confidence. The small class sizes allow teachers to really get to know each student personally, building meaningful relationships that nurture each child's potential. He's thriving not just academically but also in the arts and spiritual development, benefiting from a well-rounded education that challenges him in every way. The community here is welcoming, warm, and safe and is a true haven where kids feel comfortable being themselves and are supported every step of the way. I'm sad he is in 6th grade and we only have a couple precious years left at this wonderful school. We couldn't be happier with his experience at St. Michael's.

As an employee of St. Michael's, I can say that it's not just a great place to send your kids, but a fantastic place to work. Faculty, staff, and administration are supported and valued by the school community. Our emphasis on small class sizes allows teachers to form personal, caring relationships with the students and families. In addition to our strong academic focus, what I love most about working here is the embrace of our core values and feeling of being part of a good community.

Sending our children to St. Michael's was worth every penny. They are now young adults and still talk about the lasting, positive impact the school has had on their lives.St. Michael's instilled respect, integrity, and strong moral values-not through religious formality, but through real-life lessons in ethics and character. The school environment encouraged a love of learning and the pursuit of academic excellence. The student body includes families from a wide range of cultures, faiths, socio-economic levels, and ethnicities, all united by a shared commitment to education. The friendships we formed there have lasted a lifetime; many of the families we met at St. Michael's remain some of our closest friends today. This is more than just a school-it's a community that invests in the growth of its students, both academically and as human beings. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

As the upper school art teacher at St. Michael's, I see firsthand every day what makes this school so special. The arts are truly valued here-every upper school student has dedicated art time built into their schedule, so no one has to choose between art and other specials. That sends a powerful message to children: their creativity matters. The small class sizes mean I get to know each student well and build strong, lasting relationships. It's a place where kids are supported, seen, and encouraged to grow in all areas-not just academically, but as whole, creative individuals, in mind, body, and spirit-preparing them to live lives of meaning and purpose. I'm grateful to be part of this caring community.

This is our 4th year at St. Michael's and we can say we made the right choice. We came to St.Michael's during the pandemic. We were impressed how well the school addressed safety, academics, and mitigation strategies during the pandemic based on scientific guidelines. This is an inclusive community of administrative staff, teachers, maintenance crew , parents, and students. What we love about our school is the balance & value-based growth and development. Our daughter wakes every morning excited to go to school and learn - that in itself is such a blessing and proof that St. Michael's is great for our family. There are multiple opportunities for parents to volunteer &contribute. The administration takes feedback and concerns seriously and are very receptive to the needs of families here. The administration, staff, teachers and parents are the strong pillars of the St.Michael's community which we are grateful to be a part of.

St. Michael's is an outstanding school. The education is well-rounded, holistic and high quality. Character development and values are an important part of school life. The love and care given to my daughter is more than we could have hoped for! Teachers and admin are committed and care for all members of the family. We love the close family feel, small class sizes, and the care given to guiding our daughter through her academic and personal growth and development. We are blessed to be members of the St. Michael`s community and, with our daughter in second grade, we look forward to many more years!

I have always been a big believer in public schools. We chose our home based on the school district. I volunteered extensively every year. Eventually, I had to accept that the standard public school experience was failing my son, despite our best efforts. We acted on a recommendation from our neighbor and enrolled our son at St. Michael's. To say that his two years at this school (7th & 8th grades) transformed his life and trajectory is not an overstatement. His peers were welcoming, his teachers firm but nurturing. All the defenses he had built up from years of bullying fell away once he realized that he was safe and valued. The educational demands and individual expectations are high, but the support is unrivaled. My son excelled academically and in the arts, and was recognized and encouraged as a leader. He is confident and well-prepared for high school and beyond. We love St. Michael's School!
