We love The Calverton School. We have 2 students (4th and pre-K4) students who attend and LOVE IT. The education is top-notch! The teachers and staff make your kids feel welcome and loved. We are going into our 5th year, and we are thankful every day we chose this school for our children. Highly recommend The Calverton School to anyone.

After coming highly recommended from close family and friends, my husband and I decided to enroll our daughter in Calverton's 4k class for the 2020-2021 school year. We have been impressed with ability of the faculty and staff to navigate through this year so gracefully during such hard circumstances. We have especially loved having Mrs. Gamble as our daughter Carolina's teacher. I never dreamed my child would be reading in Pre-K, but here she is amazing me with all of her new academic skills, which we owe in huge part to Mrs. Gambles teaching and patience. She also goes above and beyond to make sure Carolina feels comfortable and loved and that means the world to us. In conclusion, my husband and I would recommend Calverton to anyone who is interested.

My daughter joined the Calverton family this year for the 2020-2021 school year in their Cougar Cubs 3k program! It is by far the best decision I have ever made for my daughter . It had been decades since I walked the familiar halls of the Calverton lower school when I was also a child. I found the loving and tight knit community I thrived in as a child was there to greet my daughter. The faces and names had changed, but the atmosphere and enriching environment that encourages growth and community had not. My daughter`s 3K teacher Mrs. Holmes has been the greatest gift in her journey of learning and experiencing the world. With the use the Remind app parents get daily pictures and stories of what our young children are learning, and how they are growing! Chloe`s days are filled with learning about Van Gogh and painting her version of Sunflowers to talking to NASA scientists who worked on the 2020 Mars mission. Learning about Michelangelo, and painting pictures while their backs as he painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is all a daily part of their learning experience. The children have art, science, physical education and reading / writing and one on one interactions that are so important to their growing sense of self. Mrs. Holmes has created a bond with my child that she treasures. She is smart, kind, intelligent, and patient; through her examples she is teaching our Cougar Cubs the building blocks for all their future successes.

I want to give a shout out to The Calverton School! They prepared as soon as word of the virus hit the news. Our last day in the classroom was a Friday, and we started distance learning the very next Monday. They never missed a beat and continued to provide the quality education that they are known for! They have been there for their students both academically and for emotional support. If you are feeling uneasy about the quality of education that your children are getting during these uncertain times, I highly recommend that you look into The Calverton School. My only regret is that we didn't join them sooner!

I have two children at Calverton (in the lower school). Our family is new to the school but we love the small class size, the dedication of the teachers and staff, and the welcoming atmosphere. Our kids have been welcomed and we feel that they are getting one-one attention to excel both academically and socially.

We love Calverton! As a parent to a returning 6th grader and a new 9th grader, we couldn't be happier. The campus is beautiful; the athletic teams are a great mix of competition and responsibility and teamwork; the faculty is providing that closer one-on-one instruction we couldn't get in public schools. Discipline is taken seriously another aspect we were unhappy about in public schools. And our children are both challenged to work on projects that interest them. Calverton is a great place to send your child!

As a recent graduate, I have experienced everything this place has to offer. The tight-knit student body is unique. Students will never be lost in the shuffle because the teachers and students hold themselves and others accountable. Calverton was physically my home for four years, but will continue to be a place I seek comfort in for years to come. I was beyond prepared to further my education in college. Rather than just memorizing facts, the IB program taught me how to think. I learned how to learn here, making me a standout in my collegiate classes. Mr. Wright, the college counselor, dedicated his life to helping students find their dream schools. Mrs. Dice, the IB Psych and Music teacher, challenged me to dive deeper into my studies and think in a new way. Mrs. Brower, the IB Art teacher, is one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. She encouraged me to explore art outside of my comfort zone and watch over her students’ wellbeing as only a mother would.

As a grandparent, it is hard to have your six-year-old granddaughter halfway across the country, but Calverton School has helped so much. I try to stay in close touch with what she is doing, and I have come to believe that the Calverton academic program is unmatched. They have offered an individualized approach to her needs when her abilities exceeded her math level but needed a boost with reading. She loves school because of the enriched academic atmosphere, which even allowed her to compete meaningfully in the science fair, but also because of the caring staff. An exemplary example is Mrs. Haleigh Vance. She has been responsive to my questions, by phone, text, and emails, about everything from lunch to camp to scheduling.. Mrs. Vance truly cares about the students there, but also their families, and is sensitive to our needs. I give the highest recommendation to Calverton School and to Mrs. Vance in particular.

I just wanted to say what a great teacher Mr. Mallari has been to both my sons. Thoughtful, well prepared, easy to learn from, and always willing to help out if my kids had questions or didn't understand a concept. He is one of the best teachers I have dealt with while my sons have been there (since Pre-K 3!!!).

I''ve attended Calverton since second grade, and let me tell you, every time I get a chance to talk to someone about how great it is, I take it, enthusiastically. I tell everyone that''ll listen how helpful and attentive my teachers are, I tell them what the atmosphere is like, I tell them how I feel like it's my home away from home. It's not just a place to learn and hang with friends, it's a place I go to relax, to do fun things, to have new experiences. So much of my life is based in Calverton, and that is a gift I will never fail to be thankful for. -A junior, class of 2014
