School Notes

  • School Motto: "Education for Life"
  • We are a small, non-profit, independent Montessori school that is focused on preparing students to navigate middle and high school with strong academic, critical thinking, leadership, community service, and decision-making skills.. For over 30 years, our students have experienced learning in a compassionate and stimulating environment, respectful of individual learning styles and within a community of friends. Our Montessori program is a mixed-age, hands-on model with small teacher to student ratios and a collegial and nurturing atmosphere. The Montessori curriculum provides a platform for genuine mastery of math, language arts, the social and natural sciences as well as art, music, and physical education. Children also earn the freedom to make lots of choices within that structure and participate in caring for the indoor and outdoor class environments. All of our students, ages 3-12, study Spanish, environmental education, music, physical education, and engage in outdoor play daily. Our music teacher also offers private, on-site music lessons for children after school. We have before and aftercare programs and a dynamic parent education program.
