California Lutheran Academy

At California Lutheran Academy, California Lutheran Academy exists to teach God's truth, nurture Christ-centered relationships, and prepare students to live with wisdom and purpose.
Equipped to Rise reflects our commitment to preparing students for lives of meaningful impact. We challenge students with purpose, personalize their learning journey, and equip them with the skills and mindset needed to lead, serve, and thrive beyond the classroom.
Challenging with Purpose:We believe students rise best when learning is intentional, meaningful, and appropriately challenging. Our academic program sets high expectations while promoting curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning. We guide students to think critically, engage deeply with content, and embrace challenges as part of the growth process.
Personalizing the Journey:We recognize that students grow at different rates and benefit from instruction that meets their individual needs. Our smaller class sizes andrelational culture allow teachers to respond to individual needs through differentiation, timely feedback, and research-based instruction. Students are known and actively supported as they grow.
Preparing for Impact:We prepare students to use what they've learned beyond the classroom. Our academic program emphasizes real-world application, cross-disciplinary thinking, and the development of transferable skills. We want students to graduate ready to contribute as they lead, collaborate, and solve problems in a rapidly changing world.

Our daughter just graduated and we couldn`t be happier with this high school. She made great friends who are grounded in Christian values and will be with her throughout her life. The staff was always supportive, caring, and super competent. Academics are excellent, with rigorous standards. My daughter developed an independent work and study ethic, self-reliance, and confidence - all of which prepared her for college. CLHS offers sports, which our daughter enjoyed, which would not have been possible at a large school. Our son now attends CLHS, and because of the staff's expert management of the pandemic, he is able to attend in person, which is super valuable for his learning style and social development. Thanks CLHS!

Our family lived in San Diego, CA. Both of our sons attended CLHS for all four years of high school. They lived on campus in the dorms and had a great experience. CLHS has been a blessing to our family. At CLHS both of our sons obtained a high quality education, while having the opportunity to participate in athletics, and fine arts. The staff and teachers at CLHS truly care about each student, their educational success and spiritual growth. The teachers are well trained in the subject matter they teach, and they bring a wealth of knowledge to the classroom. If you are looking for a quality Christian high school for your child(ren), CLHS is top notch. CLHS is WASC accredited. Both of our sons were accepted to great colleges and universities upon graduation (Pepperdine University, Point Loma Nazarene, San Diego State University, San Diego Christian College, Wisconsin Lutheran College, and Martin Luther College). I highly recommend CLHS to everyone.
