This school's leaders and teachers provide an expert, engaging, and encouraging environment where children can strive for their personal excellence with ample support behind them. Music, art, and other programming offer an opportunity for creative expression. Facilities are updated and clean. I can't say enough about their ability to pivot to online learning due to Covid-19. The students didn't skip a beat with learning. It was immediately apparent that the school truly cared and worked tirelessly to ensure learning continued while at home. Student and faculty and family safety are at the forefront. A win is win-win for your child, family snd the community.

The Village School offers a superb learning environment & a welcoming community of families who work to make this a truly special place, one focused on the "whole child" & that values social and emotional development as well as academic understanding. Knowing that The Village School is one of only two pre-K through middle schools in NJ to hold triple accreditation (from The American Montessori Society, The Middles States Association of Colleges and Schools & The New Jersey Association of Independent Schools) made the choice of deciding among different schools an easier one for us as a family. The personal growth we've witnessed (from our son's time in the toddler classrooms and now lower elementary) is wonderful; it is amazing & inspiring to see creative, independent thoughts being expressed in such confident & diverse ways by the students here.

It`s once-in-a-lifetime you get an amazing teacher if you`re lucky. At the village school, their luck runneth over. The teachers are spectacular! The level of teaching not just in academics, but creating an environment for the entire child to be taught is something to be witnessed. The teacher to child ratio combined with the multi-age classrooms enables the children to grow and show their proficiency in their work. The teachers create a collaborative workspace where everyone is taught to respect each other....something not seen very often in today`s world.

I am truly grateful every day for this amazing place, for the way my child is known and respected as an individual yet challenged and guided to constantly seek more knowledge, confidence, and independence. The staff, facility, and community are unlike any other.

We couldn't be happier at at this school. After having tried both Catholic and public school, we finally feel at home at The Village School. Both of my children come home each day relaxed and happy to share what they have learned. I see such a difference in the way they are celebrated as individuals and I love how much emphasis is placed, not only academics, but on specials such as art, Spanish, health and music. I am also glad that they are given a larger amount of outdoor time than they were getting at their other schools and encouraged to walk their "daily mile" to make sure their bodies are exercised and ready to learn. The children are given tools to help manage their own workload and a fairly early introduction to public speaking. I am happy to see both my children's confidence grow in a such a warm and encouraging environment.

A wonderful school teaching children how to respect eachother and seek answers in independent and creative ways.... even at 18 months old. Staff is wonderful; caring, insightful and always available.

Offers Montessori education through 8th grade. Outstanding academic and arts programs. The school has just kicked off a capital campaign to enlarge and modernize further. Very tight knit parent community.
