NAPSEC was established in 1971 to represent private specialized education programs serving individuals with disabilities and their families.
NAPSEC represents programs that serve all ages, all disabilities, in all settings. These day, residential and summer programs, located throughout the country, provide for a lifetime of services from birth through adulthood. Member programs provide educational therapeutic services to both publicly and privately placed individuals that cannot be successfully educated in the regular education environment and/or who are 22 years of age and older.
