School Reviews
5 Classes are small so teachers can provide individualized attention while students continue to develop as HRS (Highly Responsible Students) and learn accountability to take ownership of their own success. The curriculum is academically rigorous with relevant coursework including art, music, drama, theology, and Spanish. They offer technology in the classroom to augment teaching.Teachers are highly trained with advanced degrees but perhaps more importantly, they are warm, approachable and totally supportive. They work closely with parents and administrative staff to ensure student success. Parent volunteers are wonderful and you can rest assured any school event or field trip will have several chaperones. Much time and energy goes into the care of the school and what it can offer. Regarding school events, Pilgrim offers several sports throughout the year led by fun and knowledgeable parent coaches. While Pilgrim is a religious school, it is not heavy-handed in its approach. It illustrates the best of Christian tenets in its global perspective, inclusivity, and acceptance--guided always by love, honor and respect. Pilgrim teaches peace-keeping and conflict resolution and offers strategies that work in school and out. Mission trips and locally-based projects underscore the importance of giving back. In sum, my child just loves Pilgrim and feels part of a tightly-knit community that is led by love and generosity. We have come to think of our Pilgrim staff, parents and fellow kiddos as our school family. The kind of support offered here is hard to find. I highly recommend Pilgrim Lutheran School. - Posted by Parent - KS |
