School Notes

  • Established in 1954, Our Lady of Fatima Parish School has been the primary Catholic school in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle.
  • With just under 300 students, our school is comprised of one class per grade, Preschool through 8th.We offer both half-day and full-day Preschool (3-year-olds) and Pre-Kindergarten (4-year-olds) with several schedule options available.
  • In Preschool through 5th grade, each classroom is led by a homeroom teacher and a full-time instructional aide. 6th-8th grade students are taught by our middle school team.
  • Students attend specialist classes in art, computer science, library, music, physical education, and Spanish. We have reading and math specialsts for students who need assistance and offer leadership and mentoring opportunities. We have a 9,000 volume library and science lab.
  • We have a full-time counselor on staff.
  • Classroom hours are 8:30am-3:15pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 8:30am-2:15pm on Wednesday. We offer Extended Care until 6:00pm to our students in Preschool-3rd Grade on days when school is in session full day (space permitting and for an additional fee). Extended Care is not available during school breaks, faculty in-service days, or on early dismissal days.
  • Virtually all graduating 8th grade students who apply to Catholic high school are accepted.
  • While Catholicism is our foundation, families of all faiths are welcome to apply.

Working as an integrated team, the faculty teaches and instills a strong sense of ethics and Christian values while supporting a rigorous curriculum that includes religion, English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, Spanish, visual arts, music, computer technology, physical education, and emotional well-being.
