School Notes
- St. Anselm's Abbey School provides a rigorous, liberal-arts education to young men from grades six through twelve in the Catholic Benedictine tradition. Situated on 40 wooded acres in Washington, D.C. in between two Metro stops on the Red Line, St. Anselm's takes pride in a tradition of academic excellence. Through the small size of its classes, close personal attention, and challenging cirricular offerings, St. Anselm's is school where bright boys become exceptional young men. For eight decades, the school has graduated countless servant leaders, grounded in tradition and prepared to meet the world's challenges. They include Mayors of major U.S. cities, founders of some of the world's most successful companies and venture capital funds, diplomats, social workers, doctors, and presidential appointees. The average SAT score of St. Anselm's graduates is above 1400, with more than 40% of students receiving financial aid and more than 45% of students identifying as historically under-represented minorities. Founded by Benedictine Monks who have provided education for leaders and doers for more than 1500 years, St. Anselm's is committed to the pursuit of Pax in Sapientia, or "peace through understanding," allowing young men to become the truest and best version of themselves, and to appreciate the inherent dignity and gifts of all as they prepare to lead rich lives and contribute to their communities.
